What do you think is the essential skill a data scientist should master? Knowledge of deep learning tools? Hadoop? SciPy? This talk reveals the cornerstone of data science: understanding the data and asking it right questions. All tools are just helping us to achieve it.

We will start with tasks the data science solves, define our goals, and continue with an overview of essential Python packages available to us in this domain. There will be many demos, but the purpose of this talk is not just in showcasing tools. It's also about our role as data scientists, and the responsibility we need to take in today's world.
